Reece will play Ernie Wise's father Harry Wiseman in a new BBC drama about the early career of Morecambe and Wise. It also features Vic Reeves as Eric's father George and Victoria Wood as his mother Sadie. More details here:

Well I have to say that was a real beautiful piece of television. and even moreso for a M and W fan! The leads were staggeringly good. Loved that Reece was the first onscreen! He was brilliant, and heartbreaking - in it all too briefly though..!

It was a wonderful piece of drama. Reece was wonderful. Ernie, as i understand it was far closer to Eric's mother as i understand it so that's obviously why his father wasn't in much of the story. The two lead actors playing Eric and Ernie were fantastic.

Loved this! The men playing Eric and Ernie were sooooo good - and Reece nearly made me cry!

It's those eyes, there's a lot going on in them. He was fantastic.
