My childhood friend Zania is now hooked on the man too! She'd thought he was lovely for a while so when she got the chance to see him in Comedians she grabbed it! She asked me to come with her, which I did. Now she'd never met him/seen him in the flesh before and when we walked into the bar area of the Lyric Hammersmith she spotted him instantly and gasped - it was so funny. She then did the same when he walked onstage in the play - she sat there like a child watching the lights of a Christmas tree... transfixed. During the interval she said how it was amazing to see him perform live, right in front of her eyes rather than on a televsion. She thought he was excellent as Phil.
She said she'd be really scared to go up to him but she plucked up the courage and appproached him solo, to ask for a piccy - I was so proud! She was on a high on the train home, she'd had such a good evening.
I've been getting updates from her as she builds her Reece DVD collection - she thinks he's a marvel too now! There is just SOMETHING that he has... :) He definitely has tons of charisma...
